Bookmatching is the appearance of the wings on a butterfly, or as the name suggests, an opening of a book. It is the practice of matching two (or more) surfaces. The area that joins the two pieces presents itself as a mirror effect. This spectacular design across a super slab porcelain tile looks remarkable. This effective print finds itself in marble or stone - those materials that declare prominent veins and movement.
This design was first discovered when cutting a raw piece of material, then slicing it in half again to reveal the unique design. When carefully placed within an interior design as a feature wall, the print takes centre stage.
